Kati Wice, Certified Veterinary technician
Kati was raised in Florida, but don’t hold that against her. She received her Bachelor’s in Communications in 2010 from the University of South Florida, with a focus in public advocacy. She worked in the hospitality industry until 2021 when she was ready to start a new chapter and head in a different direction professionally. She graduated from Portland Community College in 2024 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She soon after became Nationally accredited and is now a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Kati reached out to Dr. Blake, before starting at PCC, to do a ride along and get a sense of large animal medicine. It was that first day in the field she felt differently about veterinary medicine and where she knew she wanted to end up. After her internship during the last term of school, she accepted a position with Northwest Mobile Vet and couldn’t be happier. She also works part time at an emergency vet in Hillsboro. For Kati, emergency medicine is very rewarding, whether it be for large or small animals. She is excited to learn and grow as a CVT with NWMV and the immensely skilled staff.
Good luck finding Kati on her days off, as she is one to completely detach. Her heart is full when she is spending time with her three dogs and her partner. They enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking and disappearing into their favorite “no-signal” areas, whether it be under dense tree cover or along a sandy coastline. Oh, and food, the girl can eat!
